In 2016, a few simple notes echoed in the minds of millions of listeners who heard the melody in the Church’s first Light the World video.
There is a kind of magic in those notes, reminding the viewer that their small acts of service shine a bright light in a sometimes dark world. But my method of uplifting others has not changed. Whether it’s a string, harp, or piano piece with a vocal touch, music has a certain quality that invites the Holy Spirit and draws the viewer closer to Christ.
But where did the melody come from and how was it eventually combined with the video for Light the World each year?
