Shreveport, Louisiana – Qualifying for the March 25 election begins Wednesday.
Shreveport elects a city marshal. In the meantime, two mirages will be updated. Both raise funds for firefighters.
Proposition 1 is a 10 mil levy and should bring $490,000 to No. 6 Fire District over the next 10 years.
Proposition 2 charges $75 for each residential and commercial structure. This will generate approximately $216,000 for fire protection and emergency services.
