Meridian, Michigan (WTOK) – The City of Meridian is asking drivers to limit movement on the Sella Ward Parkway during milling and paving work.
Public Works Director David Hodge said this week’s traffic could affect the timeframe for project completion.
The crew began milling the existing asphalt surface on Monday. Pavement is expected to begin later this week, according to Gabe Faggard, a senior project engineer at Neel-Shaffer, Inc. He said it will take him two weeks to complete, depending on the weather. Expected.
“Once the pavement work is complete, the contractor can lay down new stripes and begin finishing the project,” says Faggard.
Intermittent lane closures will occur during this time. Faggard said the public would be notified of any delays. Milling and paving work is not expected to disrupt access to local businesses.
