If you commute east of Manhattan, today is the day you’ve been waiting for.
The first train is scheduled to leave Jamaica at 10:45am and take an express train to the new station, arriving at 11:07am. News 12 Long Island has learned that Governor Kathy Hochul will be on the first train.
LIRR will provide shuttle service from Jamaica to Grand Central Madison for at least three weeks.
Following the initial phase, a full service from Long Island to Grand Central is planned.
