Quincy (WGEM) – A weather warning is in effect for the entire tri-state area, with winter weather advisories in place for parts of the region. Either way, we are likely to see snow build up that creates dangerous driving conditions. Snow should develop early Wednesday morning and continue through Wednesday morning. After the snow is over, there should be 1 to 4 inches of buildup. This should be wet compressible snow. Winds don’t pick up until late Wednesday night, so drifting shouldn’t be too much of an issue. Road crews must have some suitable conditions to make the local roads drivable. The road treatment should work well in temperatures near 32 degrees. Thursday will remain sub-zero at the mid-day high, but Friday and Saturday will see him rebound into the mid-to-late 40s. There is a limited chance of rain and snow mixed Saturday night through Sunday. Please be careful. Temperatures will be well below normal numbers, likely in the single digits on both Sunday night and Monday night.
