Ukraine prohibits government officials from traveling outside the country for holidays or for any other reason other than official duties.
The decision made by the National Security and Defense Council “applies to all officials of the central government and various levels of local government.” President Volodymyr Zelensky said Monday night.
“Government officials will no longer be able to travel abroad for vacation or other non-governmental purposes,” he said.
This includes law enforcement officials, legislators, prosecutors, and “everyone who is supposed to work for the state, within the state,” he added.
Zelensky also announced that there will be a reorganization of government positions.
“We have made personnel decisions regarding officials at various levels of ministries and other central government agencies, regions and law enforcement systems,” he said.
