The Bronx’s Pelham Bay Park Station has undergone recent improvements in what the Department of Transportation and the Metropolitan Transportation Authority call “a major achievement for commuters.”
Pelham Bay Park Station, which serves as the main transportation hub for commuters in City Island and Cope City, received new concrete spaces and newly painted bus lanes for commuters.
The ribbon cutting cemented a change elected officials say they know commuters are looking forward to.
The change will serve thousands of passengers and save commuters about two and a half minutes a day, according to the DOT and MTA.
Elected officials say the changes will ensure cleaner, safer commutes and more are on the horizon.
