Tallahassee, FL (WCTV) – U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris will be in Tallahassee on Sunday, January 22, to speak at a rally marking the 50th anniversary of the Supreme Court’s Roe v. Wade decision.
No time or location has been announced, but it’s possible she will attend a planned parenthood “Rally in Tally” at the State Capitol.
White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre told reporters on Wednesday that Harris would give an “important speech” on reproductive care.
The U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade in June, allowing states to decide on abortion rights.
Last year, Governor DeSantis signed a law barring Florida doctors from performing abortions after the 15th week of pregnancy.
The Florida Supreme Court is considering a constitutional challenge to the law.
