PEORIA (25 News Now) – Peoria police are looking for a suspect in an alleged robbery of a business in Peoria on Wednesday night.
A Peoria police statement said they were summoned to Block 3900 of the Bearing Trace near the intersection of North Big Hollow Road at approximately 9:45 p.m.
When officers arrived, they found a witness who told police someone had entered the store wearing a mask and showing a handgun. The suspect then fled before police arrived. No one was injured.
Police added that a K-9 was brought in, along with members of the Peoria Police Department’s Crime Scene Squad, to investigate and search for the suspect.
There is no suspicious information at this time and the incident is under investigation.
