Merced, California (KFSN) — As the rains arrive, Merced business owners seek relief from flooding.
Others are still waiting for power before continuing decontamination work and resuming activities.
The Merced industrial park is home to several companies.
The ground is soaking wet and more rain is expected, causing water levels to rise.
Accessible roads are full of mud and some businesses are still dealing with several feet of flooding.
Owners hope the rise in water levels will be contained during the next storm and power will be restored on Sunday.
“There are no drainage ditches on this road, so it’s seeping in slowly, but you should be able to get your car out now,” says business owner Ruben Mari. “It’s probably about a foot maximum in certain places, so this is the only thing holding us back.”
Crews are pumping water, and much of this flooding is from last Monday’s storm.
