Anyone who drives in New York City knows how stressful and stressful traffic can be. But believe it or not, things could get much worse.
According to mobile analytics firm INRIX, the average New Yorker sits in 117 hours of traffic each year. The company’s Global Traffic Scorecard places the cost of wasted time and fuel at approximately $2,000 per person per year.
That rate isn’t the worst in the world, it’s not the worst in the country, it’s not even the worst in the North East.INRIX estimates that drivers in the British capital get stuck in their cars about 156 times a year, making London’s overall traffic I found it to be the worst.
Chicago’s congestion was the worst in the United States, second only to London at 155 hours. Paris followed with her 138 hours of traffic, and Boston with his 134 hours he was fourth. NYC was fifth.
Boston is the most crowded, with a 79% increase from 2021. Chicago had her 49% increase, while NYC remained somewhat stagnant, up 15% from the previous year.
After Bogota, Toronto, Miami, Palermo and Monterrey in Mexico, no other American city made the top 10.
