Amid slippery conditions and numerous crashes, multiple closures are taking place in the Colorado highlands.
Two major closures in place and causing travel delays include the closure of the westbound I-70 near the Eisenhower Tunnel (collision west of the tunnel, announced at 11:47 a.m.) and the Silver Thorne area eastbound I-70 closure (announced 12:04 p.m.).
It’s unclear exactly when either closure will be lifted, and CDOT has not released an estimate on its social media pages.
