Northwest ESPN’s Adam Rittenberg reported Wednesday that it is investigating allegations of haze within its football program.
The school was notified of the allegations after the 2022 season and engaged attorney Maggie Hickey to conduct its own investigation.
“While we do not yet know if the allegations are true, Hayes is prohibited by university policy and we take these allegations seriously,” the university told ESPN in a statement. , well-being is a top priority…Northwestern University strongly supports members of our community who raise concerns and encourages anyone to report those concerns to the university.”
According to the Littenberg report, Hickey’s investigation involves “interviews with players, coaches and staff.”
The Wildcats are 1-11 in 2022, their worst season since they promoted coach Pat Fitzgerald to his current role following the death of former coach Randy Walker in 2006.
