PAINESVILLE, Ohio (WOIO) – Earlier this week, a 20-year-old man was convicted of the 2019 murder of a 65-year-old Ashtabula business owner.
Tim Meola was found dead at his Mentor Avenue home in Painesville on September 7, 2019.
Painesville Police arrested DeMarco Jones on July 28, 2022. Jones of Willowick said he was 17 years old at the time of the murder.
On Tuesday, Jones changed his guilty plea for aggravated murder before Lake County Common Please Judge Patrick Condon.
Judge Condon will sentence Jones on February 23.
Jones is being held without bail at the Lake County Jail.
