Grand Prairie hosts first-ever small business, subcontractor expo

Grande Prairie will host its first Small Business and Subcontractor Exposition on January 24th from 6-8pm at City Hall.

Walk-ins are welcome, but pre-registration is recommended.

Visitors can connect with small business resources including finance, legal, planning, MWBE certification, workforce, and more. Attendees will also learn about upcoming city tenders, how to do business with the city, and the building permit process.

How To classes on MWBE certification and trading with Grand Prairie are held at 15 minute intervals. Door prizes are awarded by business card lottery.

Subcontractors are encouraged to bring a letter of competence to set off with the city’s construction staff.

The event expo is the first of several small business/entrepreneurship initiatives that Grand Prairie will launch this year, according to a prepared statement.
