Donald Lu, Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asia, will travel to India and Bangladesh from January 12-15 for meetings on a range of priorities, including energy, trade, security cooperation, religious freedom, labor and human rights. I do.
In India, the Assistant Secretary will attend the India-US Forum. He will also meet with senior Indian officials to discuss how the United States and India can further expand cooperation on energy, trade, security and human rights.
During his stay in Bangladesh, Mr. Lu will meet with senior Bangladeshi officials and civil society leaders to discuss strengthening bilateral ties, expanding economic engagement, and hear their views on labor and human rights.
