Local Investor Purchases Hadley Pottery To Help Business Stay Open In Louisville

LOUISVILLE, Kentucky (WAVE) – A beloved fixture in Louisville for generations, it was announced earlier this year that it was going out of business.

However, Hadley Pottery plans to remain in business after local investor and philanthropist Brook Smith purchases the pottery shop.

According to the release, the historic building on Story Avenue will be renovated and Smith plans to improve the production.

After more than 80 years in business, shoppers can expect Hadley Pottery to be fully stable by mid-2023.
