Cincinnati Bengals offensive analyst Adam Zimmer has died, his sister Cori announced Tuesday. Details regarding Zimmer’s death are unknown at this time.
Zimmer, 38, has been with the Bengals since late July. He previously served as co-defensive coordinator for the Minnesota Vikings. His NFL coaching career began in 2006 as the Saints assistant linebacker he coached and won Super Bowl 44.
Zimmer’s father, Mike Zimmer, has been an NFL coach for many years. Mike Zimmer served as head coach of the Minnesota Vikings from 2014 until he was in 2021, and Adam was on staff throughout his father’s tenure with the Vikings.
Zimmer’s mother Vicki died suddenly in 2009 at the age of 50.
“My brother was one of my best friends. We became very close, especially after my mom passed away,” Corey Zimmer wrote on Instagram Tuesday morning. and was always the first to show up and volunteer at my foundation events…I didn’t even have to ask. You always let me know what you think.”
